November has been a month focused on the climate. With initiatives such as Cut Your Carbon Month supported by the Bupa Foundation and COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, there is a renewed focus on sustainability and ways in which we can all, collectively, make a difference and a change to the future of our planet. The delegates at COP29 further added strength to this focus with a triple finance agreement to help developing countries with their carbon reduction and investment in 'green' energy.
Of course more needs to be done. At Get with the Program we acknowledge and understand that to make significant improvements in the health of our planet, there is a role that we all must play, whether that's an everyday focus on reviewing and reducing the impact that we have on the environment, or actively looking at ways to utilise technology to make a difference.
Our coding adventures collectively align with 14 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), directly highlighting; health and wellbeing, clean energy, sustainability, responsible consumption, climate action, and life below water and on land. These goals are achieved via our corporate partnerships ensuring that we’re playing our part in supporting the Global Goals to improve our world - at the same time we’re focused on inspiring the tech innovators of the future to do the same.
