When a call to action is so aligned to a company's values, it wont surprise you that Harrington Starr, the creators of #walkthetalk, choose to act! We're delighted to say that this Giving Tuesday they have decided to sponsor a virtual Coding Pantomime for a school again this Christmas!
At Get with the Program, we are addressing the digital skills gap by inclusively inspiring the tech innovators and workforce of the future. Engaging with young children, our aim is to spark an interest in technology which looks at the core fundamentals of problem solving and introduces terms such as algorithm and debugging, often without using apps or screens!
Through our series of award-winning virtual and in-person Coding Adventures, children are learning about technology in a fun and interactive way which celebrates and normalises less represented role models.
And we're delighted to have Harrington Starr support 'Professor' Trice and Al the Robot reach out to children, especially those who are underrepresented in technology, showing them that they too can ultimately help to solve our worlds biggest problems!
You may be thinking 'oh no they can't' but we say, 'oh yes they can', which is why we're adding Harrington Starr to our list of 'tech diversity sponsors', and celebrate them on this Giving Tuesday for their funding of a Pantomime Coding Adventure this Christmas!
You too can be part of this exciting opportunity to help engage young children in technology. If you want to join in and #walkthetalk to develop the diversity of the workforce from an early age, please contact us at getintouch@getwiththeprogram.org.uk or click here to sponsor a panto.
