Celebrating International Moon Day

At 20:17 on 20th July 1969, Commander Neil Armstrong and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin made history as the first humans to set foot on the Moon.

Today, we celebrate this momentous milestone 55 years on as “...the single greatest technological achievement of all time.” NASA

Don't forget, none of this would have been possible without the support of the Apollo mission teams, including Katherine Johnson (Mathematician) and Margaret Hamilton (Software Engineer), two ground breaking women, whose names we should all know as well as those of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin!
