We are delighted to have run our Moon Landing Coding Adventure today at Brockenhurst C of E Primary School in the New Forest, on the very same day that the historic first satellite launch is taking place on UK soil from Spaceport Cornwall!
The children aged from 5-9 loved hearing about Artemis I launch from last year, the UK's 'Cosmic Girl' airplane and rocket Launcher One that will be taking off later today, as well the Saturn V rocket from the Apollo 11 mission from the first moon landing over 50 years ago. We combined this with key words from the computing curriculum, demonstrating STEM role models from less represented groups and the chance for the children to take it in turns to be a robot on the moon!
What an historic day to be having your own Moon Landing Coding Adventure - we loved bringing the excitement to your school!
Do tell us if you know a school who would like to take part in our awesome Moon Landing Coding Adventure ... find out more at: www.getwiththeprogram.org.uk/moon-landing
